        Open-end rivets have a tubular rivet design with a mandrel through the center. The rivet is inserted into a predrilled hole through two or more materials being joined. Using a specific tool, the mandrel is drawn into the rivet, securing the materials. Open-end rivets do well in most riveting applications where materials to be fastened have non-structural applications.
